Winter sun
Beautiful day today (Sunday). I thought the winter sunshine made this grass look so beautiful. (:o)

Good take, Roz. The grass is absolutely charming, would work even without the chain.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you very much. I took quite a few, with and without chain....just could not decide which I liked best. Must admit, Sunday morning was an absolute treat. Warm sunshine, out on my own with my camera - just what the doctor ordered. (:o)
Who would think that grass and a chain could be so beautiful?
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Michael. I was captivated by the light, and a bit undecided about the chain. I decided to post one with the chain, just because of the stark contrast. (:o)
The soft and the strong.
Rosalyn Sears: Yes, that was why I decided to post one with the chain - just for the contrast. The light was so pretty, it felt like a gift. (:o)
Nature bounded by human...nice one.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Richa. (:o)
I LOVE the juxtaposition of the hard, rustic post/chain against these soft, gentle grasses, Roz. The tonal range is glorious. I can feel this place.
Rosalyn Sears: I am so pleased you do, Ginnie. The stark contrast was the reason I decided to post one with the chain. The light was beautiful and, as I said to telemachus, it felt like a gift. (:o)
Nice composition and contrasts between the shiny colour of the grass, and the darkness of the spot and its chain, but even between the free grass and the chain with its symbolism ... Well done !!!
Rosalyn Sears: Glad you like it, Ann. (:o)
Beautiful image Roz, absolutely incredible light.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you so much. The light was just wonderful - an absolute treat. (:o)
Spot on focus control...s'very nice...
Rosalyn Sears: I took this with my new lens. Although I guess I can take credit for the focusing, the camera decided the rest. At the moment I am at the stage where I am just working out what this lens will do. I was really pleased with this one, and hope I will soon feel as though I can produce more of the same at will. (:o) Mind you, I won`t be able to recreate that great light - but I will remember to take advantage of similar moments.
I like your composition Rosalyn. Beautyful lighting
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you Richard. (:o)
Top marks for observation and composition.
Looked at this for ages and just wish that I had taken it.
Rosalyn Sears: You know what, Paul? I badly needed that little bit of `me` time on Sunday morning. I felt as though I was being gifted this opportunity. (:o) I am so pleased you like it. (:o)
Yes maybe the chain is an imposition on such glorious grasses. richard
Rosalyn Sears: Yes, I can see what you mean. I was undecided about posting one with the chain, or one without. I posted this one for the contrast, really. Happily, I took lots of photographs! (:o)
Glorious grass in the winter sun. Beautifully done, Rosalyn.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Ray. I was beguiled by the light. (:o)
great DOF
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Chantal. Taken with my new lens, (shamefully on auto), so full marks to the camera. I will be very happy when I feel as though I have enough control to produce this type of photograph deliberately. (:o)
Excellent - gone to likeys
Rosalyn Sears: I am so glad you like it, Louis. I must admit that I was pleased with this one. (:o)

This is defenitly my likey of this day, superb lighting and DOF, may I give you a standing ovation?? this is GOOD
Rosalyn Sears: I will take a small bow for spotting it, and maybe for focusing in the right place, but most credit must go to my new camera and new lens. So pleased you like it. (:o)
This is such a nice picture Ros. There were probably 100 different variations you could have taken and they would probably all have been good
Rosalyn Sears: lol! Bill, I think I probably did take a 100 different variations. I was just beguiled by the light. (:o)
beautiful in its simplicity...tones have been handled well...
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, PhotoSam. I appreciate your comment. (:o)
These winter suns also has the clarity of a summer sun ! So warm and it's sharp too...
Rosalyn Sears: I guess the difference is that this one was taken in the middle of the day, and still there is a softness to the light. (:o)
superb Rozalyn just love the contrast's
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, tim - glad you like it. (:o)
I like it with the chain, I feel that it really adds something to the grass.
Very nice
Oh really nice Ros...very cute!
Woo Roz, beautiful. Lovely light too, hasn't it been nice to have some sunshine, at last
I like the complexity of your focus choice. Having both the metal and some of the plants in focus, while also having the soft background, makes for a visually appealing photograph.
Wow! Another great Likey! Where dof and the composition has been precious!
