Spring storms - 3
Strange narrow crop, I know, but I took this over the top of the beach huts, focusing as far out to sea as I could. This was way, way out at sea, and I`m glad I was not out there!

I think this would look really good hung on the wall of a newly built house or flat in the City.
J
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Jay. I think the extreme letterbox crop does give it a modern feel. (:o)
Excellent. I agree with Johnny.
Rosalyn Sears: Cheers, Birthday Boy! (:o)
Since Louis has been on a straightening kick today, I thought for sure he would say something about that, Roz.
This is my idea of the sea! The more it churns, tosses and turns, the better! I LOVE it in the panoramic format.
Rosalyn Sears: Oops! (:o)
I glad you like the extreme crop - I wasn`t quite sure if it was not just too extreme. I love looking at the sea when it is like this, but from terra firma. (:o)
Great crop - it really accentuates the vastness of the ocean.
Ingrid
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Ingrid. I`m pleased you think it works - I was very unsure of this crop, and felt it looked rather clumsy. (:o)
When I was a little girl, we spent days on the ocean even in storms like this.
Beautifully presented.
Rosalyn Sears: No wonder you are so well balanced! (:o) Glad you like it Kathryn. (:o)
Very strong image. I like the crop!
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Richard. Pleased you like the crop. (:o)
This is a beautiful Masterhead crop for GallaxyWorld.com
Rosalyn Sears: lol! Thank you, Ray. (:o)
This really shows the unforgiving power of the ocean.
Rosalyn Sears: I was brought up with a healthy respect for the power of the sea. I love to see it when it like this, though I prefer to be viewing from dry land. (:o)
Oh I love it.
Rosalyn Sears: Well I am really pleased to hear that, Aussie. (:o)
Nice dramatic waves. Love the subdued color.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Laura. (:o)
Nice crop Rosalyn.
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Bernie. I wasn`t too sure about the crop, but it does seem to be meeting with gengeral approval. (:o)
This is such a strong image I am getting seasick looking at it Rosalyn!
Rosalyn Sears: lol! A little green about the gills, eh? {:o/ I get can get seasick on a huge ferry, when it is still moored. lol! (:o) Disembarkation is a hoot! It takes a good hour for me to be able to adjust my rather tilted gait. lol! (:o)
Excellent cropping has added great character to this pic. Lovely work. Likey
Rosalyn Sears: I`m thrilled you like it so much, chichi. (:o)
A good idea. Simple and effective.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Martin. I was unsure, but I did want to show everyone how awesome the sea was that day. (:o)
Beautifully seen and composed Roz. As others have said, the format adss to the powerful impact.
I'll add a but .. as Ginnie has hinted I think you need to check your horizontals! Easiest way to check is to scroll down and line up the horizon with the edge of the window. Yep, you need to check your horizontals.
Rosalyn Sears: I`m so pleased you like it, Ron. The tilted horizon is sloppy. I actually have several copies of this, because I wanted to try different things with it. I managed to pick the only one where I had not straighted the horizon. Lazy posting, too - I just hit the post button, switched off my computer and went to bed..... I should have checked how it looked. (:o)
I can see this as a lo..oo..nn..ggg poster on a wall somewhere! Nicely done! Wish I'd been able t osee this in real life.
Rosalyn Sears: It was an awesome sea. (:o)
I'm ignoring the not quite straight for the wonderful dramatic extreme letterbox presentation, which is brilliant.
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Bill - on all counts. (:o)
Like the crop & the boiling sea, Roz!
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Dave. And the north to south, sloping horizon? lol! (:o)
This should be enlarged on a wall, I am impressed Roz, just love it!!!! those waves are a real treat!!!
Wow...first words out of my mouth. Stuning.
Lovely foul sea ... really gets the adrenalin flowing. The crop works really well as well. richard
How thin can you go?? I think the crop works fine it still manages to show what's going on.
