Spring storm - 4
Later in the day, I went to Mudeford Quay, and was amazed to see these guys out there on their sail boards. I should imagine the Coast Guards were not too happy about it either. The winds were still gale force, and blowing more away from shore. you can see the spray from the waves being blown back out to sea.

That looks like pretty rough fun!
Some daredevils don't know when to leave well-enough alone...but still live to tell about it. That's living life on the edge, Roz, and you captured it!
Aren't they crazy !!! Beautiful waves and details ...
They must be stark raving mad. Trouble is they get into trouble and others have to risk their lives to rescue them! Makes a great photograph though!
Love it! Going up in Florida, we waited for the storms and then surfed.
Are they nuts, or what?! Wild horses wouldn't drag me into that raging sea, but attached to a wind surfer? Great capture Roz.
Ingrid
Endless beauty in the briny, Rosalyn. I would bet the wind-surfers are loving it!
Wow great capture Roz we were all young and folish, well i was
No place for a kite surfer ! Stunning photo !
Nice one Roz.
Great picture - hope the Nikon stayed dry.
I have seen them picking out the windstorms in holland to go windsurfing. Ideal for high speed surfing. Let's put it this way - this is what windsurfers do
Silly b-ggers ... great shot. richard
I bet they had a great time! Wonderful capture Roz!
Oh wow! Good for them for having a go and good for you for capturing it. Their sails give this a welcome slash of colour.
This is the kind of weather we've had for the last two days and it's still blowing a gale. It is World Maritime Day or maybe that was yesterday. Wonderfully captured.
Crikey...god bless their bravery...or foolhardiness
How do you manage to always be in the right place at the right time ?
J
Up my way we would call these people "nutters" but at least they gave you a very exciting picture gallaxy.
Wow! They are much braver than I. Incredible shot.
"Let me die a young man's death
not a clean and inbetween the sheets holywater death not a famous-last-words peaceful out of breath death When I'm 73 and in constant good tumour may I be mown down at dawn by a bright red sports car on my way home from an allnight party Or when I'm 91 with silver hair and sitting in a barber's chair may rival gangsters with hamfisted tommyguns burst in and give me a short back and insides Or when I'm 104 and banned from the Cavern may my mistress catching me in bed with her daughter and fearing for her son cut me up into little pieces and throw away every piece but one Let me die a young man's death not a free from sin tiptoe in candle wax and waning death not a curtains drawn by angels borne 'what a nice way to go' death" Roger McGough Good for them and good for you for catching it. Nice one Roz.
What a nice rough sea!
Nice work!
That's crazy, isn't it!! Great shot. You were quite brave even to be out on such a day.

This is a top shot Roz - it should be published in National Geographic or similar. Mike
