Skeleton leaf
Probably will not be around much this weekend - busy, busy, busy! (:o) The speckles bottom left in this picture, I think is light being picked up on the texture of the black card I used. I will add this one to the list of photographs I want to clean up, when I am up and running with Photoshop, and have time to spare. (:o)

wonderfull macro and fabulous compositión.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you! Wet and windy weather is forcing me to play with my camera indoors. (:o)
very dramatic!
Rosalyn Sears: Rain stopped play, so I am experimenting indoors. (:o)
Fantastic macro, beautiful detail
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Aussie. (:o)
Superb detail on the leaf. Cleaning up the specks out of the black will finish this off perfectly.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Red Pen - glad you like it. (:o)
The no border works doesn't it. You can clean up the background but I like it as is, the spots looks like pollen, so clean it up or not, it's down to you sweets. Hope you guys have a great weekend.
J
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, J. (:o)
Brill detail Roz
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Tracy. (:o)
Liking this macro. A lot. A Red Schmood ;-) Background a bit distracting but to be honest doesn't really detract from the wonderful composition (just noticed Johnnyg's comment)
Well done.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, attah. I am really glad you like this. (:o)
The leaf itself is perfect. The tones, the light, the angles. Love the leaf.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Michael. These leaves are so pretty. I was very heavy handed with adding shadow to this one, but I will post some others up to show just how delicate and lovely these leaves are. (:o)
This is very cool.
Rosalyn Sears: Well I am very pleased you think so Gail. (:o)
Looks an exquisite piece of silver jewelry! Beautiful!
Rosalyn Sears: It does look metallic, doesn`t it? (:o)
Like the leaf...beautiful, detailed study, Rosalyn.
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks Ray. Wet and windy so I played indoors. (:o)
Perfect B&W work ! Really nice !
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Roland. I am so pleased you like it. (:o)
beautiful shot. It almost looks unreal.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Scarlet. (:o)
Great shot and detailing.
Rosalyn Sears: Cheers, Bernie. Pleased you like it. (:o)
If/when you "clean up those specks," Roz,this will definitely float on the page. This leaf looks like it could be a fine-filigreed broach. Someone would love to wear it!
Rosalyn Sears: It does look metallic, doesn`t it? I just decided to play with my camera for a few minutes, during a break from housework. To wet and windy to go anywhere, so this was a coffee break shot in the kitchen. lol! (:o)
Great picture here Rosalyn, really nice, the details are just stunning, have a nice weekend.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Astrid. I am happy to know you like it. (:o)
Fabulous macro Rosalyn. The details are great. Well done
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Richard. (:o) You are very kind.
Ooo B&W again astonishing photograph, a real tribute to your new found passion. I wouldn't rush to clean up the specs - they do add something about the light. It might be just a touch too clinical without - it will be a matter of taste. I would be interested to know what your choice is in the end ;o)
Rosalyn Sears: On the basis that, time is at a real premium at the minute, I think I shall leave it alone for now. Maybe in the long, dark, post-Christmas period, when I have re-installed Photoshop, I might look at it again. I am really enjoying experimenting with black and white conversions. I haven`t quite started `thinking` in black in white - I can`t look at something and think `oh that would look good converted` - but it is really interesting finding out which ones I do like converted. (:o)
Excellent detail and contrast.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Nigel. (:o)
Brilliant.. magnificent detail. Yes I think cleaning up of the black speckels will perfect it to 100%.I understand the when you have time!!!regards Gale
Rosalyn Sears: lol! Gale, the run up to Christmas is mayhem! And I`m not talking about a social whirl. It`s just plain hard work. So pleased you like the photograph. It was a five minute coffee break shot. (:o)
That is one beautiful image, Rosalyn, perfect as it is.
Rosalyn Sears: Well thank you so much, Mary. (:o)
Great shot Ros. I'm not bothered by the specks. In fact they add an indefinable something.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Bill. Some like the specks, some don`t. Time constraints say that they stay for the time being. (:o)
Lovely details which have come out extremely well in b/w
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Aps. I am really enjoying experimenting with these conversions. I am very new to black and white, and am finding it quite fascinating. (:o)
I am a big fan of high contrast leaf shots and this one is no exception.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Matin. The original is much more delicate than this. Again, I added lots of heavy shadow, but I will post some further shots of these leaves, showing their fragility. (:o) (This one looks as though it has turned to metal.)
Very nice - beautiful macro shot - so clean and clear - very nice
Rosalyn Sears: Oh thank you, Aksel! I know you like uncluttered shots. (:o)
Very well done, Roz. The B&W really accentuates the textures and patterns!
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Kathryn. The conversion suits this one. (:o)
Looks good, very good.
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Ellie. lol! `wet and cold` - exactly why I spent a few minutes playing with my camera indoors. Didn`t that glorious autumn colour disappear overnight? (:o)
Oh! Rosalyn! You have turned very well this photo! The tonalities of grays are fantastic. The bottom seems a starred sky! What is?
Rosalyn Sears: I think the spots in the bottom left are the light catching the texture of the black card I used. So pleased to know you like this shot. Thank you. (:o)
I've seen expensive jewelry that didn't look this good.
This is a likey for me, Roz! Exceptional!
This is the perfect object for a macro shot and just lovely in B&W. You got all the tones down
very nice
