Reflections on a duck pond
Thanks for your great comments on the rather `rampant` ducks. I will catch up with you all over the weekend. Rather than following on with more of the same, I spent a few moments looking to for more unusual shots at the same location. Family consensus seems to be that this was the best one, and I have a couple more to follow.(:o)

Great reflections...must be the "duck" epithet that makes the difference.
If I find a duck in Bangkok, I must remember to ready the camera and then have an assistant fling it [the bird] into some water. [grin]
Rosalyn Sears: lol! You are just plain wicked, Ray! (;o)
What a wonderful abstract picture Roz. Well done!
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Richard. (:o)
This is great Ros.
Rosalyn Sears: Glad you like it! (:o)
Very unusual study of the ripples.. nicely done.
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Alan. I rather liked the `rippled glass` effect - a natural one, not photoshop. (:o)
This is really awesome Rosalyn. I love the abstract feel to it.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Scarlet - just trying to ring the changes. (:o)
Beautiful abstract, Roz!
Rosalyn Sears: Glad you like it, Deb. (:o)
this really does work well in mono Rozalyn, something i wouldn't have thought of but will do from now on
Rosalyn Sears: Hi tim! It just seemed to bring out the detail. (:o)
Delightfully unorthodox. It's a goodun Roz. richard
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Richard. Very limited photographic opportunities last week, so I just thought I would see what I could get from an hour at the duck pond. For once, the changeable weather worked in my favour with the water. (:o)
Looks great and wonderful artistic, it reminds me of an abstract painting!
Rosalyn Sears: I am so glad you like it. (:o)
It is like looking at the tree through patterned glass. Makes a great b&w
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Bill. It was fun trying to get a selection of shots in a short space of time. (:o)
Hi Roz - another great shot - can I venture a suggestion? : I would be tempted to use the spot healing brush in Photoshop to clean up some of the spits and spots on the water surface - but that's just me!!! Mike
Rosalyn Sears: Mike, all suggestions are welcome! My daughter really likes this photograph and, when I have more time, I might do some work on it to make it look even more `abstract`. I think smoothing out the natural blemishes would be essential, if I decide to do a large print for her. (:o)
A wonderful shot, dear. The little spots actually give the photograph a delightful sense of imperfection. Without them it will look a bit sterile. Don't you think?
Rosalyn Sears: To be honest, Victor, I was short on time last week, and never gave a thought to the debris floating on the water. Also, I wanted a `straight off the camera` series (apart from converting to mono). I am so pleased you like it. (:o)
Wonderful abstract Roz.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Chris. Really glad you like it. (:o)
Moody, distracting...almost hypnotic, well seen...a Roz special.
Wonderful work once again : Thumbs up !!
Fabulous, very well done.
Great distortion in the reflections, Roz. Makes a strong abstract image
Good one1
Family consensus led to a likey
My kind of shot. This is the kind of thing that's all around us yet we often miss it.
Glad to see you didn't and have made the most of it.
Wow - this is beautifully different! LOVE it.
