Quite like the art effect applied here. Photoshop or painter ? Just a little shame you didnt get all of him in the frame but still really nice shot with appeal. Regards
Rosalyn Sears: Hi ric! I`m just trying to ring the changes during this series, so I thought I would try this gentle watercolour effect. It is a pity there are bits of this guy missing. I only really had seconds to take this shot. I wanted to try to get him with as much natural looking background as possible. To the left there were corrugated iron obstacles to the left of him, just in front of his feet there was a roof, so I basically just took my best shot. I`m not too unhappy with it, though, because I really liked the way his stance works so well with with the angles in the rock. (:o)
Works for me Rosalyn; it is a quite convincing rendition.
The portrait aspect is excellent also.
Rosalyn Sears: So pleased you like it, Ray. I managed so few with natural backgrounds. (:o)
That's a nice kitty. Great expression and composition. Not sure I like how you photoshopped this though. Like ric noticed, there's some sort of "painting" or "watercolour" effect. Looks a bit unnatural.
Rosalyn Sears: Well you know what, Duane, I guess it would be really boring if we all liked the same thing. (:o) I could have just posted the original photograph, but I was trying to ring the changes a bit, during this series. I`m glad you like the composition, though. He is the most magnificent creature. (:o)
Works for me too
Rosalyn Sears: I`m glad to know that, Nigel - I was pleased with this one. (:o)
Great conversion.
Let's name the father Kat and the mother Kit. Kiska means Kitty says VZ. The header of your newspaper article: Kit Kat had a Kitty
Rosalyn Sears: lol! Great idea. Pleased you like the conversion - I was quite happy with it, but it won`t be to everyone`s taste. (:o)
Very nice portrait. I like the effect on the stones!
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Richard. (:o)
wow... wow... Roz... this is amazing ! They should make a puzzle of this one.
Rosalyn Sears: So pleased you like this, Ferdi. As I said before, I really value your opinion. (:o)

A magnificent cat Rosalyn, well caught.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Les. I was really pleased to get this on in a spot where the background looked natural. (:o)

Vow, what a clear and sharp shot, Roz. Fantastic.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Helen. So pleased you like it. (:o)
I don't mind the fact that you didn't get him all in as the diagonals in the composition are strong. What a superb animal.
Ingrid
Rosalyn Sears: Hi, Ingrid. I must admit, I found the lines of the rocks very pleasing on the eye. However, I can`t claim to have been aiming for that effect, I was totally intent on avoiding the manmade stuff to the left and bottom of the shot. Still, it was a lovely surprise, when I came to look at my shots later, to see how well the background had work (even if it was by accident rather than good judgement - lol!) The leopard was absolutely magnificent, and will be a regular visitor to that place, I think. (:o)
Well composed, good shot!
I like the way the light has caught his fur.
Fantastic shot!
Lovely pic. Agree, the treatment is perfect, colours are very striking.
Interesting watercolour effect. And it's a beautiul animal too
Nice simple effect here Rosalyn and what a magnificent animal.
stunning work Rosalyn, cry's out to be enlarged and framed
Well done Roz. As you say, the best possible in the circumstances - can't get better than that.
What a beautiful kitty. I like the framing; it is like you gave him some space to move foward.
incredible...
Super shot Rosalyn
Another impressive one, the way you took it is great because one can imagine it is in the middle of nature !
