Crisply organized in terms of placement, light and shadow, and color. It seems a tad soft, but everything else works just so!
Lots of emotive perspective, Roz, with this shot!
and a very fine one...
Nice composition...love the softness of the background.
Very nice composition Roz. I like the soft tones here!
Yes!
Just a beautiful, innovative portrait of a flower that is the colour of drying blood. Masterful work, and one of your best, IMHO, Roz.
Love the composition here Roz!
You are funny with your title and comment.
An excellent picture. I agree with all of Martin's comments except the softness. For me it fits in with this picture. When you have time, do a crop that exclude the rose on the left, leaving you with the shadow. Maybe you can crop a little bit on the right as well. It should leave you with a portrait style rose shadow on the left of the picture. I have a feeling that could be a great picture as well. In the meantime I will assign this to my likeys.
The rose is just beautiful. I like being able to see the thorns. And the shadow really makes the photo. Well done.
Very simple, very likeable, and another excellent composition Rosalyn.
I'm guessing the softness is caused by the high ISO. If you were using a tripod then a slower shutterspeed and lower iso would help. No matter I like this anyway. It would make a nice get well card with a verse added! (plenty of poets out there!)
Very artistic with the shadow and the perfect minimalist composition ! Bravo !
Amazing composition!
It looks as if it's made of velvet.
What a beautiful rose - my favourite colour. I like the reflection too.
Ingrid
I love it. It would be interesting to see a shot without the rose. Just the shadow.
A beautiful composition, the reflection of the rose nails it for me. Nice one
simple and beautiful Roz. mal
