let your wallet be light LOL!!!
looks good enough to eat. can they be white chocolate covered?
Rosalyn Sears: It does look like white chocolate! lol! (:o)
I guess we really can't deny that it is Christmas any longer
Rosalyn Sears: Yep.....it`s nearly here again, and I do love Christmas. What I really do not like, is the fact that the build up begins so early with the first Christmas cards going on sale in September. (:o)
It sparkles right off the screen. Very festive and classy.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Red Pen. I am so glad you like it. (:o)
You've caught the essence of Harrods, Roz. Those showcases are something else, I know. Lovely colors together.
Rosalyn Sears: Harrods window displays are fantastic, and what is really nice is that they keep the windows clean! lol! However, Harrods itself was purgatory. Last time I went there at Christmas, my daughter was a toddler, and I thought nothing of going up to London and trolling across town with her in her buggy. I can`t believe that I used to hop on and off the underground, laden with Christmas shopping, buggy, small child etc. How things have changed since then! There was nothing about our trip to London this time, which I would call enjoyable. Just one great seething sea of people, total gridlock in Kensington, not a taxi to be had anywhere, and the tubes terrifyingly packed. I actually found it really intimidating and completely exhausting. Both my husband and I said `never again!` lol! (:o)
Maybe let your wallet take a break and leave it home.
Rosalyn Sears: To be honest, we had not gone up there to shop. We were supposed to be going for a meal at Gordon Ramsey`s restaurant in Claridges and, rather stupidly, as it turned out, decided to `pop` into Harrods to soak up some Christmas atmosphere first. What we did not know was that on that particular day, and for one day only, Regent Street, Oxford Street and Bond Street had been turned into pedestrian only areas.......apparently to encourge shoppers into the West End. What it actually did was completely gridlock the surrounding areas, and Claridges is slap bang in the middle of the pedestrianised area! We spent an hour and a half trying unsuccessfully to get a taxi, and a further hour queuing to get through the turnstiles on the underground....by which time we had missed hour booking by an hour! In the end we just gave up and made our way back to Waterloo and, eventually breathed a sigh of relief to be back in quiet, rural Hampshire. lol! Never again! (:o)
WOW this is crisp ! Definitely got me in the christmas mood !
Rosalyn Sears: I`m pleased it has put you in a festive mood. I was pleased at how clear the photograph is, considering it was taken through thick plate glass....but then you would expect Harrods to keep their windows clean, would you not? (:o)
Tis the season and, if there was any doubt, I am now firmly convinced! Such a crisp and clear image for having been taken through a window. Impressive.
Rosalyn Sears: The windows were spotlessly clean......but then it was Harrods, after all. (:o)
Very festive!
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you. (:o)
I thought these things looked expensive!
Rosalyn Sears: Expensive, indeed! Besides the fact that it was just about impossible to move in the Christmas decorations department, and the queues to pay stretched for miles, the prices were just totally off the scale! The big long yellow decoration in the photograph was £70! Needless to say, I was happy to make do with a photograph. (:o)
It must be Christmas, these are beautiful decorations and so sharp. Love al the sparkles.
Rosalyn Sears: So pleased you like it, Aussie! (:o)
Christmas is definitly with us Rosalyn. Nice capture
Rosalyn Sears: Yep! Nearly here now. (:o)
LOL at M'roys comments. Lovely capture Rosalyn
Rosalyn Sears: Me too! Glad you like it, Scarlet. (:o)

Rosalyn Sears: I tell you what, terry....I bet they are! Made in China with a Harrods price tag. lol! (:o)
Beautiful composition and light !!! Merry Christams !!! Ann
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Ann. And a Merry Christmas to you, too. (:o)
Do we have Christmas here, love this stuff, nice decandent, very well captured, I hope you still have some left in your wallet
Rosalyn Sears: Astrid, I kept my wallet firmly closed. We were window shopping. (:o)
Beautiful processing with the color and B&W
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Chantal. (:o)
Beautiful Roz really gets you in the spirit of the season. I can just imagine the cost!!
Rosalyn Sears: They photograph may get you into the spirit of the season, I can tell you the reality left a lot to be desired, and the cost doesn`t bear thinking about! I settled for photographs, instead of buying. lol! (:o)
Very glitzy!
You have a Merry Christmas too Roz!
Rosalyn Sears: Glitzy, indeed, with price tags to match. (:o)
Very posh Rosalyn
Rosalyn Sears: It does look posh, doesn`t it? (:o) However, not having been to Harrods for many, many years, I was surprised and pretty disappointed that it actually didn`t seems so much `exclusive` as sort of bordering on the vulgarly expensive, if you know what I mean. It has changed a lot.
WOW, wonderful decorations... and even better picture! Great job
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Monica! Glad you like it. (:o)
