Amur tiger - a rare beauty
Probably my favourite, and most unexpected shot of the day. (:o) Some may feel that the photoshop effects are not appropriate, but it did removed the `haze` created by the glass., and it is one of the few photographs I have taken that I would actually like to have printed in a large format on canvas. I think the processing is FABULOUS, Roz. I can totally see it in a big format!
Rosalyn Sears: So pleased you like it, Ginnie. (:o)
Beautiful!
Not put off by your PP at all Roz...it is very well executed.
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, ray. I know that it won`t be to everyone`s taste. (:o)
Roz, everytime I open your SC I am impressed, this processing you did on this works for me, you know I don't like it that much if it is 'overdone' once you had to smile when I made a remark on that, but today...a deep bow for this picture, love it.
Rosalyn Sears: It`s all a question of personal tastes, Astrid. It would be so boring if we all liked the same thing, and took similar photographs. I am very happy that this one pleases you. (:o)
Indeed a beautiful animal - its a sad thing that these are no more found in the wild. I certainly hope that the remaining species - Siberian and Royal Bengal Tigers are not pushed to extinction by us humans. Great Shot Roz.
Rosalyn Sears: There has been a small revival of the Amur tigers, but even so it is still critically endangers. I agree that it would be unbearably sad to lose these incredible animals for ever.
bella! un bellissimo soggetto!
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you my friend. (:o)
Works for us
Rosalyn Sears: Good! I know it will not suit everyone. (:o)
Wonderful capture. Great PP job Roz!
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Richard. This is one of my favourites from the day. (:o)
this could well be a print for a new t-shirt design
Rosalyn Sears: That would work! (:o)
Amazing processing Roz.
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Tracy. (:o)
I like these close-ups. It is like sitting right next to the tiger. Can't say that I am a big fan of the Warhol processing though. You can get rid of a lot of haze via noise reduction and sharpening.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Martin. It was fantastic getting so close. I did work on the original, and improved it quite a bit. I know this kind of processing is not everyone`s cup of tea, but I like it. (:o)
Very suitable for a large format print. Nicely done.
Rosalyn Sears: Well I`m going to give it a go - I hope it works well. (:o)
Powerfull photograph, but PP not to my taste (understand the difficulties through glass). A screw in polarising filter will stop the glare and reflection if you are going to do a lot of shots thro glass.
Rosalyn Sears: I never thought of using my filter for that! I use it for seascapes and the likes! I will be going back to the zoo, so I will experiment with filters. As for the pp-ing - I know it is not for everyone. (:o)
Another nice close-up to go with yesterday's Rosalyn. The "effect" works o.k.with this one.
Rosalyn Sears: Glad you like it, brian. (:o)
I don't think you've spoilt the picture of the cat, at all. There's plenty of detail left in the magnificent coat.
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Alan. We all have different tastes, and I know that some really are not keen on this kind of pp-ing. But that`s okay - it would be so boring if we all liked the same thing. (:o)
This would make a great poster in a save the Amur campaign. I love it Roz
Rosalyn Sears: I might see if anyone wants it, Bill. I would gladly have it used to raise funds, or even just the profile of this gorgeous creature. (:o)
I can see why you would want this printed too Rosalyn
Rosalyn Sears: I think I am going to give it a go, and see how it looks. (:o)
WOW!! Beautiful animal!
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Helen. They are gorgeous. (:o)
I really like your treatment. Such a beautiful animal.
Rosalyn Sears: Cheers, Robert! Glad you like it. (:o)
I like the afterwork with the shot!
Excellent!
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you - I`m so pleased you like it. (:o)
Magnificent creatures...large and majestic. It must be difficult to take a bad picture of one.
