AMAZING color!! The flowers were that color?? So inviting.
Rosalyn Sears: Hi Bonnie. The original was quite vibrant, but the Fractalius plug-in, really seems to intensify it further and adds a kind of arty effect. These are actually the leaves of the canna lily. Glad you like it. (:o)

This is just amazing. The colors are wonderful and create a beautiful composition.
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Beth. I took lots of photographs, then just picked through them looking for a nice composition. The joy of digital, eh? (:o) BTW, it is amazing to me, too. The effect is produced simply with the press of a key using the Fractalius plug-in. (:o)

sweet jesus... what have you done here, Ms. Roz? This one just blew me away. An Ode to Joy.
Rosalyn Sears: These canna lily leaves are just a riot of colour, and I had a whole bed of them to play with. The Fractalius plug-in seems to love them, too. I have no idea how it works, but it seems to analyse the image and emphasise the most interesting colour combinations. This particular image was very vibrant to start with, but I have also used Fractalius on some the more subtle leaves and been really pleased with the effect. (They are in the queue for later this week). I have to say, Viktor, I am really pleased that you like them. (:o)

Interesting - is this stained glass perhaps Ros?
Rosalyn Sears: Chris, this is one of several photographs I took of canna lily leaves at the local garden centre. I then apply the Fractalius plug-in I use with Photoshop (a one click operation), and hey presto, it is a bit like lighting a firework! I used some much less vibrant images, too, and still like the results. (More later this week. (:o)

Dancing flames, so vibrant. Absolutely beautiful, Rosalyn!
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you so much, Iris. It does look like flames, doesn`t it? (:o)
You are doing wondrous things with those leaves Roz. Gorgeous colours.
Rosalyn Sears: I just light the blue touch paper, and let the plug in do the rest. lol! (:o)
Wow!!! Autumn colours all the way. Very rich photo!! What did you use for this? A scarf?? Well seen and well excecuted
Rosalyn Sears: Hi Marion. It is a photograph of canna lily leaves, with the Fractalius plug-in let loose on it. lol! I have a few more of these for later in the week, but the originals are here:
A touch of art deco?
Rosalyn Sears: More like a touch of madness, or light the blue touch paper of Fractalius. lol! (:o)
This is simply gorgeaous Roz. You did a fabulous job!
Rosalyn Sears: Well thank you, Richard, I`m glad you like this. (:o)
This could be a painting. I actually thought it was.
Rosalyn Sears: I does have that look.....I wish I had the talent to produce something like this with real artist materials, like paints and brushes. (:o)
Beautiful composition Ros. Any artists amongst us are probably inspired to get their paint brushes out.
Rosalyn Sears: If I had the skill to produce something like that, I would be a very happy person. In the mean time, I still derive some satisfaction from this kind of post processing. (:o)

Very nicely edited, Roz; the colours here are very attractive.
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Alan. I think I should have saved this one for a dull rainy day. (:o)
This is stunning Ros.
Rosalyn Sears: Stunning like a mallet to the back of the head? lol! I am glad you like it - I like it, too. (:o)
What a beautiful array of colours Rosalyn.
Rosalyn Sears: You know, when I saw the effect that the Fractalius plug-in produced, I went back looked more closely at the orginal photograph. The colours were all there in the photograph, but in a much more subtle form. (:o)
This is really well done, its like stained glass, beautiful colours smile
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Linda. I liked the effect. More to follow later in the week. (:o)
Spectacular colours and rhythm in this image, Rosalyn; truly inspirational.
Rosalyn Sears: Aw thanks, Beverly, for such a lovely comment. It has certainly inspired me to make the most of these canna lily leaves photographs. I think I could build up quite a collection. (:o)
Beautiful, Rosalyn - but what exactly did you shoot here?
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Tom. I am glad you like it. They were images of canna lily leaves planted in profusion in one bed at the local garden centre. Originals are here: (if the link works) (:o)
A fantastic picture. Excellent color.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Shaun. Not one for the faint hearted, but loads of fun to do. (:o)

I guess it needs no title Ros....fabulous colours...petersmile
Rosalyn Sears: Oops! I forgot to add the rivettingly exciting title of `at the garden centre`. lol! The colours are exciting, aren`t they? Thanks to whoever wrote the program for Fractalius. (:o)
lovely colours and composition, very nice
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you, Derek. (:o)
