Ah, a personal favourite of mine!

As an Englishman used to sparrows and robins, I am just blown away every time I return to my clan in Canada, where Eagles fly all around.

Such amazing, stunning creatures. And what a fabulous photograph, full on, all the detail.

I'm off to work happy now smile

Cross-eyed!
he is trying to see if the point of his beak is clean enough for your portrait shot, Rosalyn.

What a stunning bird, magnificent head.
Fabulous shot, Rosalyn! Not everyone gets to see the majestic eagle close up so thanks for sharing.

Looks like a strong teacher or an Indian-chief "Uff, I have spoken!" or a wise old prophet- in any case very human and a kind of authority you have to respect!

stunning shot Rosalyn.
Oh!

U.S. emblem!

Do you now there are much more eagles like this in Canada than in U.S.?

Stunning portrait of a magnificient bird!

You can put ISO to 800 and obtain less noise.
Rosalyn Sears: Hi Remi. Glad you like the shot, and thank you for the suggestion about the ISO, much appreciated. (:o)
great great great. if i may (and this is only thru observation over time of many bird shots)...even a slight profile on the head adds a dimension that a straight front on doesnt achieve with birds...its that beak that juts out
Rosalyn Sears: I totally agree about the `slight profile` working better. I took loads of photographs of this handsome bird, but picked this one because it was the sharpest. Please don`t ever hesitate to make suggestions, they are always appreciated. (:o)
