Really! I thought Vincent HRD did something slightly bigger...perhaps there weren't enough made for it to be called a "production" engine.
This is a stunner of an image, Rosalyn. Look at the gleam in the chrome, and the superb reflection of the grass. I like how you have pulled right in on the manifold and shown it as a thing of beauty.
Rosalyn Sears: My in house oracle on all things mechanical (lol), tells me that there have always been a lot of urban myths about engine sizes. The Vincent HRD was only produced in two engine sizes, the Black Shadow - 1000 ccs and the Commet which was 500 ccs. They had various other names, but there were only two engine sizes. There was, a Vincent engined drag racing bike in the UK in the 1960`s called Pegasus, which had two 1000 cc Vincent engines, but that was not a production bike. (:o)
Lovely colours you've captured here.
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you. (:o)
What does this engine sound like? Yikes.
Flattering shot of chrome.
Rosalyn Sears: No idea........loud, I expect! lol! (:o)
Shining... do you really think they keep on cleaning it all day... ?
Nice details !
Rosalyn Sears: I expect so.....they are all ever so slightly nutty! (:o)
I like the shine .. I can almost hear the roar of the engine. Cool
Rosalyn Sears: Well I am very glad you like it! (:o)
It makes you wonder if these owners ever actually run their machines or just clean them all day long!
Another fabulous shot, Roz. Color and shine!
Rosalyn Sears: Can`t imagine that they do any grass tracking on them! lol! Or even take them out in the rain. (:o)
Great reflections on yourself. 3 times in elongated form
Rosalyn Sears: I would not have posted this one if it had not made me look tall and thin. lol! (:o)
Great shot Rosalyn
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you - I am really pleased you like it. (:o)
Nice one Rosa!
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you! (:o)
The picture and the machine are brilliant, in the true sense of the word.
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, Chris! They do look after them so well. (:o)
Funny you should post this shot, the guys at my dive club are on about buying a modern Rocket. Fantastic condition, love the shot Roz.
Rosalyn Sears: Definately a bloke`s bike! (:o)
This is a good collection of shiny bits!
Rosalyn Sears: Am I doing this to death, do you think? (:o)
A real thing of beauty. I've just posted a pic of a shiny steam loco, but I don't think it matches up to this.
Rosalyn Sears: I`m not big on trains, but my husband loves steam locomotives! I`ll make sure he sees it!. (:o)
certainly fits the 'BIG and SHINY' category...nicely taken...
Rosalyn Sears: lol! Certainly sums it up. (:o)
what a monster Roz!
love your isolation of these details. super shot. mal
Rosalyn Sears: Thanks, mal! It is a big beggar! I do love the shapes that parts of these engine make. (:o)
Wowsers! the colors are fantastic and the detail perfect.
Rosalyn Sears: I`m really pleased you like this, and appreciate you taking the time to look and comment. (:o)
Amazing and impressive... Perfectly catched !

oh yah... Rock 'N Roll...
very nice..
Rosalyn Sears: Glad you like it! (:o)
Love the colors on this photo! The chrome parts oddly resemble C-3PO.
Rosalyn Sears: I did wonder whether to give this a Star Wars sort of title - lol! Pleased you like the colour. (:o)
Shining! Very nice. I like, Rosalyn!
Rosalyn Sears: Thank you - I am glad you like it. (:o)
Another gem...how many more?
Rosalyn Sears: About fifty from the day, but I was only thinking of putting another two up in this series. I`m concerned that it might be becoming a little boring? (:o)
Nice to meet you, you're very tall
I like this serie very much !
Rosalyn Sears: lol! I am so pleased you have enjoyed this series. (:o)
Oh, the beautiful beast!
Just read the spec and a rider review and I want one! Anyone lend me a quid for a lottery ticket?
Rosalyn Sears: It is a bit of a chunky monkey, isn`t it! Would you really like one? (:o)
